I always talk to people from different countries. It was very interesting. I learned to speak English and about other cultures. I met good friends from different countries. FRANCISCO (Chile)

I studied at YEA for three months. My experience in Canada was amazing because not only did I study English but I got to know Canadian culture. I also met a lot of new friends from around the world and I lived the most important experience in my life. YEA is an excellent school. Before my travel, I got information from many different schools in Toronto, but I chose YEA because it is a small school. The teachers are from different English speaking countries and at YEA I felt like I was at home. In my opinion, I think Toronto is one of the best cities to learn English. During my time there I could study, travel and the most important thing was I could share with different people from many different countries. I stayed in a homestay. My homestay family was incredible. I lived with them and that is how I learned about Canadian culture. I could share with them and the other students who lived with me my culture and their culture.

At YEA I took the Immersion ESL program. It is very good because it has a mix everyday of conversation, grammar, reading and writing and topic classes. After school I practiced my English with my friends as we went to different activities and we only spoke English. During my three months in Canada I met many new friends. Now I have friends from countries that I never thought I would have. This experience for me isn't only to study English. It is more than that, it is a very good experience. If you can take it, just do it.

ANIKO (Hungary)

I come from Hungary, Europe. I was 17 years old when I went to Toronto to study English. I couldn't speak English very well. I didn't know anyone in Canada. I spent just two months at Yorkville English Academy in Toronto but my English improved so much. I enjoyed the time at the school and in Toronto. The lessons were very good and interesting. I learned lots of new things that I can't learn in my country. The teachers are friendly and helpful. If you have a problem you can talk to them. After class they organized some programs and activities for the students. These were amusing, interesting and useful for us. I made lots of new friends at YEA. I think friends are very important in my life and I am glad that I met lots of people from different countries. I got to know their culture, customs, religions, national foods and drinks, etc. I felt happy in this school and I hope I will spend next summer in Toronto again.

I have attended the Summer Youth Program for two summers and I think that Toronto and YEA are the best! I have met a lot of great people. The teachers' lessons are very interesting. I went to all my classes with great pleasure. I have great memories about my study in the Youth Program. The activities were amazing! I will never forget it.

YUKO (Japan)

The summer program was so much fun for me. I went to various places everyday. We went to Joe Rockhead's Wall Climbing, canoeing, bowling. Wonderland and Ontario Place. I met good friends. My host family was very nice. I loved all my teachers. I don't want to go back to Japan. I will come back next summer.

WILL (Brazil)

The school was just perfect for me, filling all my expectations. My English skills are a result of an efficient method of teaching, competent staff, and hard work as well. The atmosphere of the school is very comfortable and everyone there is very friendly. Because of it's small structure, Yorkville is able to offer students like me the exact attention that they are worthy of. I had so much fun here. I started studying in the Beginners Class and now, almost five months later, I joined the Business Class. I've definitely improved my English skills here and I'm very proud of that.

My experiences in Canada were priceless and I'll try my best to come back someday and hopefully see you guys again. My body will be in yonder, however my thoughts will definitely stay here with you guys.

LOPEZ LAMPRE FAMILY (Venezuela)

We want to thank you and express the pride our family felt while working with the staff of YEA. They worked beyond the regular classes, giving us the opportunity to use our new language in a special atmosphere of friendship and love. Since our first day at Yorkville Academy, we felt this and enjoyed all activities with every teacher and especially the director.

Our nine year old daughter, Veronica greatly improved her English language and now she loves speaking it with beautiful pronunciation. She also enjoys reading books and watching English movies. We are very proud of her. My wife and I improved our English too, and we obtained the necessary tools to face new challenges and lead important international projects. All of these things made our experiences in Yorkville Academy one of many great values in our life and we think that our time there was really worthwhile.
